What is Silhouette Photography ?
A silhouette is basically a outline of an object with the objects fill mostly being black in color.
There are 2 key points in a silhouette photography
1. Subject
2. Background
Subject
- The subject's fill is black.
- Having a strong subject is important to get more drama in the photograph.
- The shape of the subject should be recognizable to the viewer.
- Positioning the subject is one of the crucial task.
- The subject should be placed in front of very bright light source.
Background
- The background should be bright as the subject will be dark that is black
- Frame the subject properly to get the perfect image and to convey the correct mood of the image.
Silhouette are mostly used in landscapes, cityscapes, animals,humans, sunrise, sunset kind of photos.
