Chinchani camp part 1 I had gone to Chinchani , Dahanu, Maharashtra for a 7 day NSS CAMP. I learned a lot about the local people, their life, nature and the problems faced by them. On the first day, after having our lunch, my 3 friends and I had gone to the village and took a survey of the local residents of the village. The survey was based on the main issues faced by villagers that is waste management, water supply, electricity supply, source of income, health issues etc. WASTE MANAGEMENT The survey that we took revealed that few people dispose garbage in garbage trucks and tanks. Chinchani camp part 3 If you have missed the Part 1 and 2 click here The people of chinchani had so much love and kindness for strangers. One such incident took place where my friend had to stitch her footwear. It was afternoon.We hunted for a cobbler. After asking the local people , we finally got one cobbler in the market. He used to sit in a open cement market building where usually there was a market in the early morning. Unfortunately ,he was speech impaired. He cannot speak. He used to yell in loud voice and used sign language.We tried to converse with him in the sign language. He stitched and gave the chappal. Despite not having a change, he refused to keep the change offered by my friend. After few days, again we need to go to cobbler because my bag strap had broken. We headed to find him again. Please Educate As usual like everyday after my college got over, I left the college and reached station. There were 10 minutes for the train to arrive on the platform. There were 4 ladies sitting on the bench .Those ladies were vegetable seller, ladies accessories seller, chocolates and chikki seller. All were around in 50's. They were chit chatting and meanwhile doing their businesses. Then there came a man. He said those ladies that on the auspicious day of dasshera, the workers community is arranging a small puja and lunch would also be provided. He was requesting them to give donations. He had a notebook and a pen where people who had paid had been noted. Those ladies after much denial to the invitation eventually agreed to pay. The man said them to write their names in the book. They laughed and said "We can't write. We are illiterate". The chocolate seller said "That girl can write our names."(pointing to me).I wrote their
