Limericks


Limerick is a type of poem which basically is a 5-line stanza with a rhyme scheme of aabba. It should contain 5-8 syllable in each line.

I have tried writing a few limericks.

I love strolling around in the night
in my favorite dress, fiery and bright.
The moon seems to fear me
Thus, is hidden behind a tree.
The wind swayed the trees and he came to light.

There was a girl named Bryana
who lived in Indiana.
She had a pretty pussy cat   
and she loved to swing with that spoiled brat.
Bryana called her companion, Nanna.

There was a girl with wavy hair
at the mirror, she continued to stare
Ugly was the reflection
That is the world’s idea of imperfection
their eyes can’t see your beauty, I swear.
